Kim Yun-ho

Hello. I am Kim Yun-ho from Korea.

I am a self-financed international student at the Graduate School of Law, Kobe University, and I study postwar Japan-US-Korea relations from a diplomatic and historical perspective. I first entered Kobe University as a research student. Although the Japanese language is still difficult, I was able to learn Japanese related to my major through a rich Japanese language curriculum. Also, when I was still not adapted to the Japanese environment, I was able to feel close to Japan through help of Japanese tutors from the same department, various orientations, courses aiming at preparations for the exams, information on the scholarship system, etc., which was all very helpful. In this way, Kobe University provides an environment where international students like me can study easily, and offers various scholarship programs.

Today, as the terms globalization and internationalization are becoming more common, and the international situation changes rapidly, people need to be able to see social phenomena from various perspectives. In the Graduate School of Law and Politics you can acquire a wide scope of knowledge and insight into the changes of social phenomena through various curricula such as theoretical law, diplomacy history, comparative politics, international politics, and political thought.

I think that Kobe University’s Graduate School of Law and Politics is a starting point on a path of becoming a person who can contribute to the society through analysis of international politics, knowledge of regional politics, and legal and diplomacy knowledge. Whether you are looking for a job or aiming at becoming a researcher, this will provide you with an abundance of opportunities and experience. I highly recommend Kobe University, which is surrounded by a beautiful nature, and I hope that we can study together.
